The Trinity of Sin, God’s Response, and Human Learning by Yusufu Turaki – Thursday, 16 December 2021 at 1400 UTC

***PLEASE NOTE THE TOPIC CHANGE***

Many African Christians cannot explain what sin is, how it affects humans and society, or how it came into the world. The best they can offer is a mix of popular opinions, traditional views and guesswork that falls far short of what Scripture teaches. Consequently, many do not understand God’s response to sin, much less how sin affects human learning.

On Thursday, 16 December 2021 at 1400 UTC/GMT, Rev Prof Yusufu Turaki, Professor of Theology and Social Ethics at Jos Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Theological Seminary, an evangelical seminary in Jos, Nigeria, will draw on his understanding of Africa’s traditional beliefs and social and spiritual values and will explain the scriptural teaching about the origin, nature, effects and power of sin and God’s solution to it in terms that make sense to Africans. He will, then, discuss how this understanding affects human learning.

Prior to the webinar, be sure to read Prof Turaki’s book, The Trinity of Sin (Hippo Books, 2011).
