In this unique time, we appear to be turning a corner. This is a special opportunity to hear from a renowned scientist on the front line of the COVID-19 response, Dr. Francis Collins. Throughout his career, Dr. Collins, Director of the National Institutes of Health, has been a strong voice for the integration of faith and reason. He is best known for leading the Human Genome Project in 2003 to its successful completion.
On Saturday, 30 January 2021 at 1700 GMT/UTC, Dr. Collins will share his unique insights in his presentation entitled, ‘Scientific and Spiritual Lessons in the Time of COVID’. By his scientific leadership, public speaking, and popular writing, including his best-selling 2006 book The Language of God (which led to the creation of BioLogos), Dr. Collins has demonstrated how religious faith can motivate and inspire rigorous scientific research.
This virtual event, hosted by the American Scientific Affiliation, will also have the opportunity for small group discussion following the presentation where Society members can gather to discuss Dr. Collins’ insights. There will also be a time of fellowship if you would like to stay longer.
Please register below for the event. Hope you will be able to take advantage of this opportunity!
