One of the often neglected roles every academic should have is a pastoral role in the university. That could be to personal tutees, fellow academics, our researchers and to an extent even to other non-academic staff. What might be God’s purpose for Christian academics serving in such pastoral kinds of roles in the university? How has he used you in your academic work environment, especially where we are increasingly charged to look out for one another and our students?
