For over 20 years, Reach One Touch One Ministries (ROTOM) has developed community-based programs and faith-centered outreach initiatives that have become crucial avenues for reconnecting older adults with spiritual activities. By bringing spiritual services and companionship directly to elders—through home visits, small group gatherings, or intergenerational events—these programs help bridge the gap left by decreased mobility
and social participation. Such efforts not only empower elders to continue nurturing their spiritual lives in meaningful way, it also brings emotional wellbeing and overall health of older persons.
With over 2000 older persons supported in two countries, 4 districts and over 100 villages, many lessons of how spirituality can be integrated back in aged care in low-income countries of Africa have been learned.
